Brahamdagh Bugti speaks

24.07.2008

QUETTA:(PPI): We would accept assistance from any country including India, Afghanistan and Iran for the defense of Balochistan as it is dear to us and not Pakistan. This was stated by Chief of Baloch Republican Party and grandson of Nawab Akbar Bugti Brahamdagh Bugti in an interview to British new agency from undisclosed location.

He said operation was continuing in Balochistan for the last four years and not for days in which innocent people were being killed. This operation was being carried out to loot resources of Baloch nation and to keep it backward. Rulers were destroying Baloch people for their interests. He said we were fighting for the defense of our soil and our own self. He said if someone comes here and loots our resources in the name of development, there would de resistance definitely.

There was resistance for the last four years. Answering a question he said that security forces were looting our resources and we were defending our soil. He said gas installations were not property of Punjab and Pakistan but Baloch national wealth. If some tries to take it by force Baloch would resist. Answering another question about talks Brahamdagh Bugti said that we had earlier said that these are not talks but an opportunity for security forces. He said all the Baloch have to render sacrifices for their land. Problems cannot be resolved by negotiations. He said 40 to 50 security men were killed on first day of operation whose weapons and other goods were taken away by militants.

He said media has been invited to visit the area to meet militants who would show them security forces goods, bulletproof jackets. It would open to the world how many security personnel were killed. He said security forces bombed various parts of Dera Bugti by helicopters during the four days in which more than 60 innocent women and children were killed. He said on first day our eight people were killed. He said why we should hold talks as we do not want.

Talks are held on give and take basis. We want total control on our resources, land and live as an independent nation. If security forces leave Balochistan, it would be better. So long they would remain in Balochistan; attacks would be made on them. Replying to a question about supply of weapons form a neighboring country, he said they keep stability of Balochistan dear and not of Pakistan. Securing weapons from any country is our right. Pakistan is an atomic power.

He uses weapons and assistance sought from American against Baloch so we have equal right to secure foreign assistance. He said if India, Afghanistan or Iran any one offered assistance, we would accept it opened heartedly. Asked about solution of the issue Baloch Republican Party Chief said that the only solution is that security forces leave Balochistan. After their withdrawal Balochistan would not need negotiations. But if Punjab still needs talks, we would listen to them on parity basis.
