Quetta: Since Pakistani occupation forces unleashed their fifth military operation in Balochistan from 2003 ever since there is growing discomfort among Pakistani security forces throughout country as none from them want to serve in hostile Baloch lands knowing perfectly well that they are under constant threat of attack, large numbers of Pakistani military officers and soldiers have openly disobeyed the command of their military commanders and refused to serve in Marri/ Bugti areas and most recently even refused to be deployed in Quetta the capital city of Balochistan, because of increased attacks by Baloch freedom fighters.
The open revolt and dissertation of security forces has forced Mr. Musharraf to visit Balochistan in person in spite of warnings that he could be killed by Baloch freedom fighters all the Quetta Cantonment and police forces were kept to protect him during his stay in Quetta he had several meetings with military high command based in Balochistan to calm the nervous officers and their siblings and offered to increase their salaries and other privileges only so that they do not run away from Balochistan and leave their positions in front increasingly assertive Baloch freedom fighters.
In spite of fool proof security in Quetta city all the roads and routes leading to city were sealed hundreds of security forces deployed on streets and on nearby mountains to prevent Kohlu style rockets attacks in September 2005 which provoked full and open army operation in Balochistan but in spite of all these efforts Baloch freedom fighters managed to welcome Musharraf in their own style, he was gifted with 2 power full rockets, which landed while he was Speaking at a lunch hosted by Balochistan Governor Zulfikar Ali Magsi at the Governor House, where as always he lambasted Baloch leadership and freedom fighters, by saying I am 1,000 percent certain that the elements involved in target killings and subversive activities are being financed and trained by foreign elements that do not want peace in the country.” He added that insurgents would not be allowed to derail the development process in the province, Many foreign hands, including India, are to blame for the unrest in Balochistan. More police to be deployed in Dera Bugti
JAFFARABAD: The Sibbi Nasirabad Range DIG has decided in principal to increase number of police personnel along with security forces to establish writ of the government in view of the increasing terrorism incidents in Dera Bugti.
According to details, DIG Ghulam Shabbir Sheikh has issued notification of the deployment of 20 police personnel from different police stations of Jaffarabad. The issuance of notification has created a sense of discomfort and distress. Several personnel, which include Qutab-ud-Din, Muhammad Sharif, Ghulam Sawar, Mehrullah, Durrani Khan, Rasool Bux, Muzhar Hussain and others have refused to go to tension grip areas of Dera Bughti.
It is worth mentioning that several SHOs had been transferred from Jaffarabad to Dera Bugti but they used their influence and got their transfers orders cancelled.
