Balochs, all over the world, are watching your promises of,"CHANGE" in U.S. policy, which we expect a just change as regards the question of "ethnic minority" groups of Iran and Pakistan and elsewhere. As regards Baluchistan, Iran occupied a western zone in 1932 and Pakistan occupied it in 1948.
The change in your foreign policy shall give freedom to Balochistan like France and other European countries by defeating the Hitler of Nazi Germany. Use of Sui gas
IT is very annoying to note that Balochistan, the major producer of gas in the country, is deprived of gas.Gas was first discovered in Sui (the subdistrict of Dera Bugti) in 1953 and it was initially supplied to Punjab in 1962, but surprisingly Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, received Sui gas in 1986 and Dera Bugti in the 1990s.Although Sui accounts for 40 per cent of Pakistan’s gas production, Balochistan receives only two per cent of it and the remaining 38 per cent goes to Punjab.According to an estimate, every year the federal government earns Rs90 billion from Sui gas, out of which Balochistan receives Rs4 billion as royalty.Moreover, out of 28 districts in the province, onl... details >>

Justice denied to the Baloch
IT is very sad to see the former chief minister of Balochistan, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, being treated in a draconian manner. It has almost been two years since he was arrested on a charge of detaining two personnel of the Military Intelligence who were harassing his children on their way to school.Akhtar Mengal did what probably any father would do to protect his children and had held the men to inquire as to why they were following his children. I start my mail with bitter sadness and our helplessness to see our greatest of all Baloch leader statesmen, father of all Baloch freedom fighters, The Great Nawab Mohammed Akbar Khan has embraced Shadeth who as promised when he left his home said I prefer death while defending Baloch rights in battle field then to lay dying in bed.
We Baloch swear by the name of almighty Allah that Baloch struggles lights lit by Nawab will continue and its flames will burn down all the chains of slavery in Balochistan I regret that I was not there when the enemy attacked and killed him even though we decided that we shall meet some where soon in Balochistan.

With every tragedy that falls on a nation, it either brings it together or shatters it apart. The shahadat of Nawab Akbar Bugti brought the Baloch nation together. After 21 days, "Baloch Women Panel" has, at last, abode by the appeals from their well-wishers to break their hunger-strike till death, before Quetta Press club. They demand to release Baloch political activists, who have been kidnapped by Pakistani Intelligence Agencies and an immediate cease-fire in Balochistan to seriously start the dialogue between warring partners..for an Independent Balochistan. My heart cries, when I see my Bloch brothers, sisters and children go on hunger strike for justice and in search of their loved ones, unjustly captives of Pakistani authorities. I wish there was another way to seek justice for suffering Baloch and Sindhi citizens. In my humble opinion, hunger strike of concerned Baloch sisters is a futile effort to draw attention of cruel Pakistani military dictators, who do not have conscious and human heart, to realize the sufferings of Sindhis and Bloch people.I think, the efforts of our Baloch sisters, on hunger strike, will be much more fruitful and worthwhile, if they are healthy and channelize their efforts with sound healthy mind, to seek some othe... details >>
