Balochistan: Five FC men killed 9 other seriously injured

QUETTA, April 5: Five security personnel were killed and nine other injured in a clash in Dalbandin, some 350km southwest of here in the Chagai district, on Saturday.

Frontier Corps officials were on routine search operation of the area when Baloch freedom fighters ambushed them they were attacked from three directions killing 5 soldiers on spot and injuring 9 others.

According to the incoming from the area FC men returned fire and cordoned off the area. The exchange of fire continued for several hours, they added.

Meanwhile, two persons were killed in landmine explosions.

A seven-year-old boy Muhammad Eidan was killed on the spot in a landmine explosion near Jaffarabad while his father Ghulam Muhammad was injured who was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. 

There was report of huge landmine explosion near Dera Bugti Grid Station. There are reports that one person was killed in the incident. There was also report of an explosion in Nasirabad; however, no details were received. 

Baloch republican army blew up 24-diameter gas pipeline supplying gas to Uch power plant and supply was suspended to the plant.

In Mastung, unknown gunmen kidnapped Director General Minerals Balochistan Chaudhry Irfan along with his driver on gunpoint from Kalat in the wee hours of Saturday, the officials said.
According to reports, Irfan was on his way to Hub from Quetta when unknown gunmen kidnapped him along with his driver and official vehicle. Area police started search for the recovery of the abducted official.

Nasirabad gas pipeline blown up

 

According to police sources, the explosion was caused by an explosive device planted under the pipeline near the Goth Mir Hasan area in the Nasirabad district.

“A five-foot portion of the 24-inch-diameter pipeline was blown up in the blast,” sources said, adding that gas supply was suspended to the power plant.
However, production of electricity was affected due to the blast that also rocked the small township.

Meanwhile, one person was killed when a landmine exploded in the Pat Feeder area.

LAHORE: Gas pressure in different parts of Punjab and Pakistan remained low because of short supplies from Sui gas plant which cannot function properly due to frequent attacks from Baloch freedom fighters and maintenance work in different parts gas pipe lines which are daily targeted by Baloch throughout country.

Domestic consumers through out country complain about the gas pressure.

BLA and BRA spoken person’s vowed to continue their attacks till Balochistan gets her independence from Pakistani occupying forces.
