QUETTA: Unidentified armed men killed a police constable on Thursday and injured two others, police said.
According to details, Constable Amin Atif was shot dead by unidentified persons on the city’s Joint Road on Thursday afternoon. Another policeman, Munir Ahmed, and a passer-by, Abdul Sattar, were injured in the incident and were moved to the Civil Hospital, where their condition was reported to be stable.
No group has accepted the responsibility for the attack, but such target killings of police personnel have previously been attributed to the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a Baloch separatist group. staff report
