Quetta: Balochistan’s republican army forces on Saturday blew up a gas pipeline in the Sui area near Jaffarabad, suspending the gas supply to various Punjab districts, Geo TV has reported.
The channel said the gas supply had been suspended to several southern Punjab districts and powerhouses. The Baloch Republican Army (BRA), has claimed responsibility for the incident.
Baloch people are fighting for their independence from Pakistan’s illegal occupation of their country and often blow up the gas pipeline and electricity poles to press the Paki government for their demands –Baloch are seeking total freedom and owner ship of their resources and withdrawal of Paki army from their lands and in exchange they are ready to sit on talking tables how to implement the peace withdrawal of paki army and security for the region’s gas supply.
The BRA also claimed responsibility for the killing of six army personnel in a remote control bomb blast in Dera Bugti in August 2007.
