15 Pakistani soldiers killed in Sui clashes, FC denies
Quetta: twelve- Pakistani security officials were killed in clashes between BRA forces and Pakistani military men in Sui, Balochistan on Saturday, and Express News reported. According to our sown ources from the grounds, clashes between Pakistani security forces and Baloch freedom fighters resumed on late Saturday in Dera Bugti and Jaffarabad districts according to reports reaching here, the Pakistani security forces were on a routine patrolling in Sui area of Dera Bugti and RD 238 area of Jaffarabad districts when Baloch republican armed forces attacked them. The enemy security forces retaliated the attack. Reportedly, the clashes continued for several hours between BRA armed forces and Pakistani occupying security forces. Resultantly, eleven Pakistani FC personnel and fourteen innocent Baloch civilians killed in the cross fire and Pakistani military intentional firing at civilians to increase the scope of fighting. The BRA forces have also destroyed two military check posts which were regularly harassing the local people of the areas.
Gas pipeline blown up in Dera Bugti:
BRA men blew up a 16-inch gas pipeline in Pirkoh district, Dera Bugti on Saturday, the police said. The explosion suspended gas supply to Pirkoh purification plant. Rain in the area is hampering repair work.
Two FC men among four injured in Khuzdar shooting:
Three security men and a civilian were injured in shooting by unidentified armed men in Khuzdar on Saturday.
According to police sources, two men riding a motorcycle opened fire on the personnel of the Frontier Corps when they came to a bazaar at the Jinnah road for shopping. Two FC personnel, a police constable and a child received bullets injuries. The injured were taken to the civil hospital. Sources said that the FC men were stated to be in serious condition. A spokesman for the Baloch Liberation Army, Beebargh Baloch, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
1 killed, 2 injured in Kalat shooting:
One man was killed and two others injured when BLA armed men opened fire on a trailer bound for Quetta in the Sangin Das area of Kalat district on Saturday, the police said. The police said that the trailer driver named as Ubaidullah, who was a resident of Quetta, died at the scene, while his brother and a 10-year-old boy were critically injured. Police said the injured were admitted to hospital for treatment and that the motive behind the attack could not be ascertained. The trailer was ruitinly used by Pakistani army to bring in their heavy armaments and other supplies, BLA spokes men in the region said all those who support or supply Pakistani military are ligetmet targets for Baloch freedom fighters.
Baloch activists claim that Pakistani so called state writ is only 5 % that also in major cities and army cantonment areas all the rest Balochistan excluding the Pushtun belt is in the hands of Baloch freedom fighters and those who support and sympathies with them.
Inspector-General of the Frontier Corps for Balochistan, Maj-Gen Salim Nawaz, said on Saturday that Baloch fighters were giving them very difficult times and that recently their activities has sharply on increase while blaming India and Afghanistan for Baloch detrimental effect on Pakistani military. He said the security forces had been attacked retaliated when they were patrolling Kaznal and Toba Nakani areas in Dera Bugti. Endorsing his Govt views that foreign hands were involved in subversive activities in Balochistan, he also told that support of local people to Baloch fighters was on increase and such support could hamper all efforts of govt to bring peace and stability in Balochistan, he said blowing railways tracks and attacks other national assets was a daily routine in Balochistan. Complained if Govt did not take some decisive action the situation in Balochistan could get out of hands.
Withdrawal: Responding to a question pertaining to the withdrawal of FC troops from Dera Bugti before Baloch fighters participated in reconciliatory dialogue, the IG said that no such option was under consideration. Referring to the recent target killings in Quetta, he said the city’s situation had worsened when the FC withdrew. He said the FC was required to maintain law and order.
Saleem said that the FC was justified in conducting operations to maintain law and order as long as the miscreants kept acknowledging their operations. He said the FC was also deployed on several mega projects for security reasons.
He contradicted his own statements several times once declaring there is no military operation going on in Balochistan and at the same moment stated that military operation will continue as long as Baloch freedom fighters continue their activities of attacking Govt forces and installations in Balochistan.
