‘I will take up Balochistan problems with Islamabad’

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Khan Raeesani on Saturday appreciated cease fire declaration by the Baloch militant groups and vowed that he will take up problems of Balochistan with Islamabad soon.

Talking to media persons here after Presidential Polls, the CM said that the cease fire declaration would strengthen reconciliation process launched by the government in the province and added that he would visit Islamabad soon and ask the President, the Prime Minister and other higher authorities to reciprocate the offer.

Earlier, in a brief press talk Balochistan Assembly Speaker Aslam Bhotani felicitated PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari for being elected as President of the country and hoped that he would play an important role to rebuild confidence of the people of Balochistan in the centre.

He added that Zardari was cognizant with the problems of Balochistan and hoped that he would come up to the expectations of the people of the province.
