QUETTA: Unidentified gunmen gunned down a police official in main Liaqat Bazaar on Saturday evening, police said. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Khan, a head constable in City Police Station. The assailants, who were riding a motorcycle, managed to escape after the incident. Khan’s body was handed over to his family after an autopsy. No one has claimed responsibility for the killing as yet. Police have registered a case and started investigation. app

Three injured in hand grenade explosion in Quetta
QUETTA: Some unidentified men on Saturday hurled a hand grenade at a home in Quetta, injuring three persons.
According to police, the grenade was thrown at the residence of Azhar Ali in which he, his son and a guest sustained severe injuries. The police rushed to the place and shifted the injured to nearby hospital.
The investigation has been launched after registering the case.
