TURBAT: A grenade attack injured three men at a barbershop here on Thursday. According to local police, unidentified attackers on a motorcycle hurled the hand grenade into the barbershop owned by Muhammad Safdar, a man of Punjabi descent originally from Lodhran. The blast wounded Safdar, Muhammad Yasin and Muhammad Siraj, who were rushed to a hospital for treatment. Safdar is said to be in critical condition. Police have registered a case and are investigating. app
Grenade attack injures man in Quetta
QUETTA: Two unidentified attackers injured a man when they hurled a hand grenade at his residence in Killi Bangulzai in Quetta on Thursday, police said. Local police said the two attackers on a motorcycle hurled the hand grenade at a house owned by Mian Khan, adding that Khan was injured in the explosion. The police said Khan had been shifted to a hospital and a case registered against unidentified suspects. app
Bid to blow up Quetta Express foiled
QUETTA: Quetta police foiled an attempt to blow up the Rawalpindi-bound passenger train, Quetta Express, on Thursday. Police officials said they had raided the area on tip-off and stopped the train at Saryab Station, adding that the bomb disposal squad was called in to defuse a 10-kilogramme explosive device planted near the track in Killi Zareen area, in New Saryab police precincts. The train departed for its destination after being cleared by police three hours later. app
