Why negotiation is meaningless for Baloch nation

14.04.2008

The Baloch resistance movements have rejected the negotiation offer from newly elected Chief Minister of Balochistan, Nawab Aslam Raisani. (Talks will be held with all Baloch groups: Raisani http://dawn.com/2008/04/04/nat3.htm ) they would not consider such an option. The spokesperson for (Balochistan Liberation Army) BLA, strongly responded by saying, behind the Baloch nation genocide the states three pillars are responsible (A) Establishments (B) Army (C) President Pervez Musharraf created a system that still remains on track. (BLA rejects govt’s offer for talks. http://www.dawn.com/2008/04/10/top16.htm)

The rulers are cleverly trying by offering negotiation to kill the Baloch national struggle; one can see this as slowly giving poison to someone. This is the sign of defeat by the present rulers because in the earlier stage the authority was fully in denial of even Balochistan Liberation Army’ mere existence. Now they are inviting the Baloch resistance movements on the negotiation table. According to the Voice of America, the Baloch nationalist parties and resistance movement “organizations” all deeply expressed their concern and doubt about the newly elected Balochistan provincial assembly resolutions by saying such resolutions are useless by an assembly who demanded to stop the military operation in Balochistan and offered negotiation.

The Baloch political leaders and resistance movement both believe stopping the military operation in Balochistan is totally behind the control of the present provincial assembly of Balochistan and it seems may not be their cup of tea. Therefore Baloch are fully justified in their strong stand of national struggle, because throughout Balochistan assembly’s history it has been proven again and again the rulers (Islamabad) never honored their unanimously passed resolutions by provincial assembly of Balochistan, they had not given any importance to them and even considered that such assemblies (resolutions) are “out of mind”

Recently the spokesperson for Anjaman-i-ithehade Marri who released a statement on April 11, 2008 in the newspaper which states while last afternoon the Balochistan provincial assembly was demanding to end the injustices against the Baloch nation. They demanded to stop the on going military operation in Balochistan and to try resolving the Balochistan conflict through negotiation with Baloch nationalist leadership. On the other hand during the same time the state terrorist force raided on martyred Nawabzada Balach Marri brother Mir Hairbeyar Marri residence in Arbab Karam Khan road Quetta, (capital city of Balochistan) where forces climbed his residence compound wall and made their search.

The Pakistani government’s offensive attitude, their tunnel visions, and injustice policies are the main reason that Baloch people today feel alienated from the state system. The Baloch leadership instead of being close, they are going farther from the parliamentary politics of Pakistan.  Since the birth of Pakistan till present all these rulers have always applied brutal force to conquer the hearts and mind of Baloch people. That is the root cause, Baloch are up and arms against his aggressor (Pakistan).

Therefore, there is no doubt the rulers have left no other option for the Baloch except to defend and protect their strong future in Balochistan. Baloch nations have already noticed the outcome of rulers negotiations episode in the shape of martyrdom of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti and Nawabzada Balach Marri, Pakistan's battle over Balochistan http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/5289910.stm  Top Baloch rebel leader 'killed'http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7106270.stm

So the Baloch resistance movements cannot be fooled in the name of such fake negotiation. Nawab Nowroz Khan who accepted the ruler’s negotiation offered where they had taken the oath of holy Quran after he was betrayed, therefore rulers had left no room for further proper and honest negotiations, and only repeated and fake negotiations can be seen.

Martyred Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti (Shaheed- e- Watan) in his life strongly demanded the right of Baloch resources, Baloch coast, and the self determination of Balochistan, who also presented a Bill to the senate committee for the constitutional change, these are all in the record with the rulers.  Regardless of all once again they are trying to offer such negotiation to the Baloch nation, which is a mockery.

First of all, the rulers should fulfill the great Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti’s demand and compensate to all Baloch’s people  (Massive displacement reported from Balochistan http://www.internaldisplacement.org/8025708F004CE90B/(httpCountrySummaries)/1AB4F1FA51EF3D76C12571FD0048789A?OpenDocument&count=10000) whom are affected by military operation then their maybe some room for negociatiation.

Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti himself got tired from such fake negociations and from their broken promises that came from these rulers. Therefore, he made in his life the most decisive decision to fight for Balochistan rights; he martyred for Balochistan and reached to that high-glorified stage in Baloch’s history.
